Sæti began when lead photographer, Michael R Feloni, was traveling through Iceland and was cat-called on Laugavegur after a night of drag performances and expositions at Gaukurinn; a popular bar in downtown Reykjavík. Turns out it was a friend of his using a common saying meaning "sexy." You might say "Hey, sæti!" to someone you find hot at a bar - and now everything is SÆTI and the obsession is likely not to end.
Everyone involved with Sæti Photography is interested in one thing: capturing what is truly in front of them. While PhotoShop is used as a program for processing the photos, no physical enhancements or "flaw removals" are used in any of the photography apart from occasional redness removal or blemish reduction for professional portraits. All photos are true in subject.
Michael began photographing various objects around the house as a child which quickly turned into an obsession with outdoor photography as well as portrait-style. While he does often choose a simple backdrop for most of his photos, Michael welcomes all ideas for photographs.
